Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in Burton on Trent
My name is Chris Craddy. I have been a practising counsellor in Barton-under-Needwood, near Burton on Trent, for over 20 years. I am currently semi-retired, but maintain a small part-time independent practice as a counsellor / psychotherapist and counselling supervisor. My usual working days are Monday and Tuesday, with a possibility of evening appointments, and Wednesday mornings. I have been accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) since 1999. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, and am subject to their Complaints Procedure. Counselling and psychotherapy are unregulated in the UK, and so accountability to a professional body is an essential safeguard for clients. BACP is arguably the major professional body for counselling in this country.
I have a wide range of experience with people from all walks of life, having counselled doctors and dentists (within an NHS Occupational Health scheme), local council employees, people with alcohol (and other drug) problems and members of the clergy. I also work for a number of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and am a registered provider for three major private healthcare companies. If you have private healthcare, you may be able to check this online.
I work with both individuals and couples, either for an agreed number of sessions or on an open-ended basis.
I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with :
